Real estate private sale – no address details

Sell your property through Privatepoint the real estate for sale by owner ( FSBO ), DIY real estate selling and private property sales website.

There is a trend amongst property owners not to display their property address details for their listing. Obviously the reason for this is for Privacy but exactly why I am unsure, is it because you don’t want real estate agents to know where your property is located?

Let me say, it dramatically reduces the attractiveness of your property listing as not only does the user not know the address of your property but the property does not appear on the Google map at the bottom of the property listing. When i am browsing properties, I always like to view the Google map to know exactly which street and where on that street the property is located.

Interest Rate Relief for Private Real Estate Sellers

Private real estate sellers received some much needed relief yesterday when the Reserve Bank of Australia reduced the official interest rate by 0.25% to 7%. This is the first interest reduction since December 2001 and the talk amongst the professionals is that there is an 80% chance rates will reduce next month.

Jail Time for Real Estate Agent

The SMH reported on Friday that a Melbourne real estate agent who cheated an elderly man into selling his property to him for half the market value has been jailed for 2 years. Apparently the dodgy agent was commissioned to sell the property valued at $300,000 and ended up purchasing the property himself for $150,000.
